The company launched a new arts and cultural festival in 2006 FESTIVAL ENCUENTRO LATINO which encompasses the wide range of cultural and artistic expressions known to
Ola Latina have been fully involved in various charitable events and were the main organisers of the Colombian Disaster Appeal in 1999 held in Holticultural Halls, Victoria where over £12,000 were raised. This money was donated to victims of the earthquake that devastated the coffee region of Colombia that year. Ola Latina were also one of the companies who organized the Tsunami Salsa Aid event 'The Big One' in 2005 held at Club Colosseum in Vauxhall to raise funds for the victims of the Tsunami tragedy that year; over £10,000 were raised and donated to the Tsunami Disaster Emergency Committee.
As well as organsing festival events such as Latin Splash 2003 and Festival Encuentro Latino with support from community groups, acting as agents for Latin Artists in the UK, the company's scope of activity has also included acting as both agents and organisers of European tours for some world renowned Latin artists, (Henry Fiol, Luisito Carrion,Victor Manuelle, Gran Combo, Tito Rojas, Tito Gomez, Maelo Ruiz, Cano Estremera, Paulo FG to name a few).
The team behind the scenes at Ola Latina are fully committed to the company’s aims and objectives, and have extensive knowledge and expertise in Latin American culture and events management.
