'Exclusive UK concert for popular Puerto Rican Salsa artist, Maelo Ruiz. After breaking into the music scene at age 19 in 1985 as the lead vocalist for Puerto Rico's Pedro Conga y su Orquesta International, Maelo Ruiz has carved an excellent solo singing career, travelling around the world earning seven commendable solo productions.

Maelo's extremely popular last three productions with Codiscos, under the musical direction of Diego Gale, have confirmed him as one of the best and most popular exponents of Salsa Romantica; to these records he has added an extra dimension with his natural talent for improvisation full of 'sabor', hence the tag 'El Sonero Romantico'.
